On February 10, 2026, Mr. Sami Nagga, Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia 🇹🇳 to Romania 🇷🇴, met with Mr. Calin Mitri, Director General for Global Affairs at the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was also attended by Ms. Alexandra Benea, responsible for bilateral relations with Tunisia at the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Africa and Middle East Department, and Mr. Marouane Ben Nasr, responsible for bilateral cooperation with Romania.The meeting served as an opportunity to underscore the strong cooperation and partnership between Tunisia and Romania, while reaffirming the mutual commitment to further strengthen relations across all possible areas, both bilaterally and within the broader European framework, as well as within the International Organization of La Francophonie and other multilateral Organisations.
  The discussions also focused on various bilateral cooperation projects currently under negotiation, highlighting the importance of implementing existing agreements, particularly in the areas of higher education, academic research, culture, vocational training, and employment.
